Downloading rules
- Do Not hit & run
- Seed what you download
- Do not use a banned client. (You will not be connectible, and will receive no credit for any seeding)
- Downloading privileges will be suspended if a member's ratio drops below 0.5 (50% of what you download). Download privileges will not be reinstated until ratio is fixed.

General Forum Guidelines
- No Flaming or attacking other members, We are a large community and everyone has a right to their opinion.
- No trashing of other peoples topics (i.e. SPAM).
- No language other than English on the site unless a special forum is created.
- No harsh foul language (and none at all on titles).
- Do not hot-link images. If you wish to post an image, be sure that you upload it to a free file-hosting service (like Photobucket), or host it yourself.
- No Double-Posting
- Do not advertise your site. People wishing to advertise may contact the administrators via the "Help-Desk".
- No images that are not web-optimised. Images that are too large will be resized.
- Do not post links to other sites without the permission of a staff member.
- If you require help, post your problem on one of our many "help" forums, and a staff-member will answer you within 24 hours. You may also click on the [Help-Desk] button on the user-menu!
- Last, please read the FAQ before asking any questions!

Avatar Guidelines
- The Allowed formats are: .GIF ; .JPG ; .PNG
- Avatars should be 150 X 150 pixels, and under 150KB (Animated .GIFs are allowed if they follow these guidelines).
- No offensive images. Including (but not limited to): Porn, Racism, Cruelty, and Religious material.
If in doubt PM a staff member.

Uploading rules
- You must have uploader status to upload torrents.
- All torrents should be archived in .RAR format (NO password protecting.)
- You must provide a proper description for your upload.
- Movie Torrents should have a poster added when editing torrent.
- All torrents must include a .txt file, that contains the sentence "This file was downloaded from TorrentKit.Com" The .txt file should be named:Torrentkit.com.
- You must seed immediately after uploading torrent.
- You may not stop seeding your torrent until at-least 2 members have downloaded your file, or for 72 hours.
- Stay active! Inactive uploaders will be demoted.

TorrentKit Member Classes

Automatically given to (and revoked from) users who have been members for at least 4 weeks, have uploaded at least
25 GB and have a share ratio above 1.05. |
| Gold Member |
|
Gold Member status can be gained two ways. The first is by donation. A minimum donation of $2 is required to get this status. This status can also be earned in special circumstances by members who are continuously active, helpful to other members, and a general asset to Torrentkit. A person must have been a member of TK in good-standing for a minimum of 16 weeks, and have uploaded at-least 150gb, and maintain a ratio above 2.05. DO NOT ask for Gold-Member status, or you'll be denied immediately. If/when you deserve it, you will be rewarded. |

A temporary class, given to members for donations of $20 or more. The amount of time a member is a VIP depends on the amount donated. |
| Elite VIP |

Given only to members who have either donated $500 to the site in one payment, or who have donated the same amount over a period of one year, and is very active at TK. |

Customised title given to special users only (Not available to Users or Power Users). |

Appointed by Admin or Sysop or other staff-member given this responsibility. |

Technician's Rules
- Technicians must always respect all users, you are TK's Front-line support!
- Technicians must be patient when teaching/helping members!
- When you make a Guide, It must be Step-by-Step instructions, and easy to understand!
- Inactive Technicians will be demoted!
- If you have any question contact the admin, or post your question in the Technician's thread.

- As a Technician, you are TK's main "help" source, so you need to know your stuff for this position. If you don't know the answer to a question... then google it; scour the internet, and find an answer. No question should go unanswered.
- Your main job is to answer "Help" questions. Most "Help" threads are in the Support & Help forum, but there are some others also...like the Crisis Center. Familiarize yourself with the forums, so you can help our members when they are lost and need your assistance.

Moderator's Rules
- Moderators must always respect all members. As staff, you represent TorrentKit..
- As a Moderator, your main job is to edit torrents. Additional help is appreciated, but torrent editing is your job.
- Do not argue or have disagreements with other staff in-public. PM the staff-member, or goto the staff board.
- You will be expected to scour all the torrents to ensure that all are edited properly.
- Inactive Moderators will be demoted.
- If you will be gone for more than 24 straight hours, then make a post in the staff forum, informing Admins of your expected absence.
- If you have any question contact the an Admin, or post your question in the Staff Forum.
